Marjorie was the last living child of Homer and Blanche Smith; born February

She treasured the memories her family, friends, and students gave her during
her long life. Her smile was contagious and she blessed everyone who came
in contact with her during her long journey.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm on Thursday, September 17, 2009 at Harding

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to HospiceCare 1606 Kanawha Blvd, W. Charleston, WV 25312 in her memory.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Shirley Whitt for
her excellent and more importantly loving care to Grandma over the recent
years. Also thank you to Jane Rowsey and Stacey Smith of River of Life Personal Care Home in Elkview for
their care and compassion during her last days.
Dear
Friends and Relatives,
We all feel
the loss of Marjorie, especially her close family and children. Marjorie
was a person dedicated to good education for all students and in her career she
set a benchmark for quality teaching methods and curriculum. She was the
next to the last member of a generation which included my Father Hugh
Smith. Aunt Marie Bailey of Weston remains as the last of that generation
and feels the loss of Marjorie.
Her life
was long and rich. We are thankful that her mind was alert until the last few
months. She was spared suffering and in now with her Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ.
